Project Manager - Fire Industry - Dry and Wet

About the Role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage projects from start to finish, whilst maintaining and building relationships with the team, the Clients and the Subcontractors. You will also manage the project budgets, cash flow, the Clients, the Subcontracts, procurement and site productivity in the most cost effective way whilst maintaining a focused safety culture that strives for a zero harm result.

  • Prepare construction programmes including design, installation and commissioning tasks.
  • Prepare monthly forecast claims in line with our contractual obligations.
  • Monitor progress and particularly critical path progress against programme.
  • Ensure long lead time material items are identified, designed and procured in accordance with construction programme and cash flow schedules.
  • Ensure all variations are identified, developed and submitted as required under the Subcontracts terms.
  • Collaborate with Design staff to drive innovative and cost-effective buildable Design.
  • Develop project specific SWMS and maintain and supervise compliance with company HSEQ Management systems.
  • Uphold company Values, Behaviours and Policies.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Building Services or Engineering, and Project Management qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years experience working for Tier 1 Builders. (Desired)
  • Dry and Wet Fire Project Management. (Desired)
  • Proficient in use of MS Office Software.
  • Managerial courage with a natural drive to get things done.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Strong financial focus and reporting (PRONTO experience preferred but not essential)
  • Experience in Subcontract reviews and administration.
  • Ability to understand and create Works programmes (MS Project experience preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead a project team.
