As Rostering Officer you will report to the Corporate Services Manager and be part of the Corporate Services Team. You will play a key role in moving the organisation from a manual system to using rostering software. In addition to participating in the system implementation, your tasks will include:
Collaborating with Management to develop rosters that adequately meet the needs of the people we support
Managing all roster queries, urgent shift change requests and filling empty shifts in collaboration with Management
Liaising with Management on leave approvals and incorporating all approved leave and training requests into the roster
Notifying Management of resourcing issues as they arise
Monitoring hours to ensure that employees are working within industrial relations obligations
Providing advice to Management to deliver cost-effective rostering within industrial relations constraints.
Reviewing weekly timesheets, analysing variance against the roster and reporting to Management
You will have previous experience in a complex rostering or scheduling role. This means you have had to schedule work for large teams working in dynamic environments. The accuracy of the rosters makes a big difference in the lives of the people the organisation supports, and you will genuinely care about getting it it right.
You will bring demonstrated experience in
Data input and administration with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Preparing rosters using rostering software
Preparing complex, 24/7 rosters or work schedules
Intermediate MS Office skills and the ability to quickly learn a variety of technology based solutions
It would be great if you had
Interpretation of industrial instruments including Enterprise Agreements, Awards and the Fair Work Act
Previous experience with MYP-PocketWatch
Knowledge of the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Award 2010
Understanding of the NDIS and the disability services sector
A DCSI clearance is essential so if you don't have one already, you must be able to be cleared for one.
