Marketing Executive

About the Role

Reporting to the National Marketing Manager, the Marketing Executive plays a pivotal role in the following important areas: regional franchisee support; local area marketing; internal network Comms; national events; and campaign planning, development and implementation.

You are self-motivated with excellent communication and administrations skills having previous experience in a marketing support role. 

Key areas of responsibility:

1. Comms and Content Development

  • Coordinate the production and distribution of the Weekly Support Pack (WSP) including liaison with key departments, design, checking for accuracy.
  • Prepare and upload service announcements to the Aramex website when needed, and pass on this information to the SM team.
  • Create, coordinate and distribute content for internal communications, local customer facing communications, e.g. eDM, promotional material, annual publications, intranet articles, etc.
  • Contribute to the creation of social media content and announcements, in conjunction with the Marketing team and Regional Franchisees as required.
  • Develop and maintain marketing collateral including proposals, rate cards, support packs, brochures and various other material.

2. Local Area Marketing Support

  • Provide prompt support to Regional Franchisee requests.
  • Support Regional Franchisees to develop and implement local marketing activities including sponsoring local events, local radio campaigns, local FB campaigns.
  • Manage the centralised marketing request site (OMR), promptly coordinating and actioning requests from Regional Franchisees, providing briefs to the design team when required, and keeping all parties updated on progress.
  • Support the National Marketing Manager to rollout out a brand ambassador program and annual roadshow to the network.
  • Coordinate and manage any local PR requests in conjunction with our PR agency and marketing team.
  • Work with Regional Franchisees to develop a local activities calendar to identify local PR stories and award nomination opportunities.

3. Collateral development and coordination

  • Coordinate the design and development of print and digital collateral as requested by marketing team or regional franchisees.
  • Oversee print management needs of collateral and publications including sourcing cost estimates from suppliers for the Franchise Support Office and regional franchisee as required.

4. Campaign planning, development, implementation and support

  • As directed by the National Marketing Manager develop local and regional campaigns. This could include digital campaigns, recruitment focus via FB, eDM based campaigns, e.g. Christmas Countdown or Christmas trading hours.
  • Analyse results of advertising and marketing campaigns. Share positive results via WSP to promote marketing to internal stakeholders and provide ideas that can be easily duplicated to our regional franchisees.
  • Prepare a post-campaign report if requested.
  • As directed by the Marketing Manager Products & Campaigns, provide support for the rollout of national campaigns, e.g. adapt national campaign content to suit local executions; coordinate PR opportunities linked to the campaign theme.
  • Support the coordination of Courier Day events across the network as directed by the Courier Day project manager

Corporate Social Responsibility and Charities:

  • Manage and develop relationships with our key national charity partners, Beyond Blue and Cancer Council (Daffodil Day).
  • Coordinate activities to support Daffodil Day annually.
  • Oversee donations to Beyond Blue and maintenance of details on our fundraising page. Work with Brand Design Manager to ensure email footers display the Beyond Blue logo and link through to our donation page.
  • Provide support for new corporate social responsibility initiatives as they are rolled out.

5. National Events

  • Under the direction of the National Marketing Manager manage and coordinate the annual Franchisee Convention (March), the 2-Day Business Meeting (September), the annual ANZ Marketing Planning Meeting (October) and the customer Christmas party (December). Work with the CMO to coordinate Marketing Review Meetings as required. (A detailed checklist outlining all responsibilities is available).
  • Sales and franchising expos and various industry events coordinate distribution of tickets, oversee production of collateral including flyers and merch stand, coordinate staff to attend events, provide content to be uploaded to social media channels, track sales leads to evaluate the investment vs return.

6. General marketing duties

  • Maintenance (and development) of department process checklists, Standard Operating Procedures booklet for the Marketing Executive role, manuals and training material.
  • Management of the online uniform portal, including tracking uniform allowance for FSO employees.
  • Administration including: process expenses for CMO, produce invoices, track expenditure, maintain accurate records.
  • Develop presentations and proposals as requested.
  • Administer Franchise Support Office marketing service request and charge out procedures.
  • Compile reports as required on network activities.
  • Assist with content management of website.
  • Source and work with preferred suppliers to ensure high quality standards and best price is achieved.
  • Source quotes for merch if requested.
  • Collate monthly competitor report.
  • Work closely with Graphic Design team to deliver creative collateral for campaigns and RF requests on time and to brief.
  • Work with the marketing team in New Zealand to ensure economies of scale
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Regional Franchisees by delivering on our promises and providing a customer service focus when dealing with field requests.
  • Be a team player and support the wider marketing team when required to prepare for special events, e.g. packing gift bags or merch packs.
  • Other miscellaneous duties and activities as directed.

About the Candidate

  • 2+ years experience in a similar marketing role
  • Experience in designing, implementing and managing successful marketing campaigns and promotions using a wide range of traditional and digital platforms
  • Experience in content creation, preparing design briefs and proofing artwork
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Competent Microsoft Office Suite skills including Word, Excel and Power Point (Adobe Suite experience also valued)
  • Highly organised and self-managed
  • Ability to multitask, meet timelines and achieving priorities in the most efficient way
  • Thinks creatively with an understanding of design and web principles
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience using websites, email providers, social media would be highly regarded
