The Business Development Director Citizen Services is responsible for taking on a strategic and proactive approach in expanding current contracts as well as building a pipeline of new opportunities. The role would require a highly self-motivated, commercially astute and business focused individual who can develop business, lead sales and grow business activity with government clients. The appointee will also need to be a solutions-oriented and customer-minded professional who can work collaboratively with other leaders in the business, in converting opportunities to new businesses, ultimately accelerating the growth of Serco.
Experience: Strong working knowledge and exposure consulting to, strategic-selling or management of key accounts, having worked in or for roles that enable and support government.
Customer Focus: Experience as a trusted advisor, focused on retention and growth of key accounts to deliver sustainable and diverse value proposition to the customer.
Collaboration: Infectious passion for working closely with and building relationships across the organisation to deliver collective outcomes.
Commercial Acumen: Ability to develop and execute strategies underpinned by strong commercial principals.
Stakeholder Management: Ability to advocate and influence multiple levels of an organisation both internally and externally including with the highest levels of Government.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Sound judgement, good negotiator, strong verbal and communication skills with uncompromisable integrity.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
