Client Intake Support Officer
Community Services Tablelands is a not for profit organisation offering a comprehensive network of services across the broader Atherton Tablelands and into the Gulf.
We are currently seeking a Client Intake Support Officer in our Atherton office. This is a great opportunity for candidates interested in immersing themselves in a workplace that prides itself on fairness, teamwork, and fun whilst supporting your local community.
Reporting to the Client Intake Team Coordinator, the position requires an enthusiastic and motivated person who is committed to exceptional customer service, and providing wide-ranging administrative support to the professional arms of the business including a Psychological Services Team, Case Management Team, Community Development Team and a Home Maintenance Service. In what can be at times a fast paced, challenging and changing environment, the successful candidate will be well supported by the team coordinator and surrounded by positive, helpful and hard working colleagues.
In this role, you will be required to work and contribute as a team member and rotate through a series of responsibilities within the Client Intake Team to ensure you remain multi-skilled across all areas of the position.
Key responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
Welcome and assist visitors and callers with enquiries providing information, advice and referral in accordance with their needs;
Answering and responding to telephone, face-to-face and email enquiries in a courteous and professional manner;
Routine activities of a clerical, reception or administration support nature including keeping good records of work performed;
Collection, delivery and recording of mail;
Maintaining client records using the in-house computer software, at all times maintaining confidentiality;
Booking appointments and resources such as meeting rooms and fleet vehicles;
Accurately receipt payments;
Contribute to organisational reporting as required, including overseeing and collecting quality data;
Maintain cleanliness of reception area and counselling rooms; and
Support the day to day operations of the organisation.
To be closely considered for this position, you will possess:
Demonstrated experience in a similar client administration role;
Demonstrated ability to apply established practices and procedures;
The ability to work cooperatively within a small team as well as autonomously;
A caring and helpful disposition, particularly when dealing with sensitive situations whilst exercising sound judgement and initiative;
A mature work ethic, reliable and punctual with clear and transparent communication and strong interpersonal skills with cross cultural understanding;
The ability to take responsibility for prioritising, multitasking and organising your workload and development;
A sound understanding of Microsoft Office software and the ability to confidently learn and maintain the in-house computer database and other office resources; and
Sound keyboard skills.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake and maintain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and a Police Criminal History Check.
