Bore Runner

The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) is a privately owned and operated cattle company with stations throughout Queensland and Northern Territory. Glenormiston Station is a Breeder property located at the top end of Channel Country QLD, with the Homestead on the banks of Lake Idamea.

 

The role

Reporting to the Station Manager, we are currently seeking an experienced Bore Runner to work in a permanent full-time position at our Glenormiston Station.  

Day to day duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring and maintaining water supplies and associated infrastructure for livestock
  • Checking all bores, waters & troughs twice a week
  • Keeping tanks and turkey nests full at all times and ensuring troughs are cleaned regularly
  • Changing oil in engines every week or according to maintenance schedule
  • Ensure fuel return lines are in place and working and attend to any fuel leaks immediately
  • Performing your job safely and operating equipment in a safe manner

 

Is this you

Ideally the successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working as a Bore Runner
  • Hold a current C class drivers licence
  • Be able to work autonomously and unsupervised
  • Be committed to working safely in accordance with NAPCO's HSE policies and procedures

Pre-employment requirements

Prior to commencement, all new employees are required to undertake an Australian National Police Check and are also required to be vaccinated against Q Fever (all associated costs covered by NAPCO).
