About the role

 

This position requires a person with outstanding networking and sales skills to assist in the coordination of placing of senior school students undertaking HSC ICF VET & TVEAT courses with host employers.

Working within a fast-paced environment, this position is for 35 hours / 7 days per week with the contract ending 31st December 2020

Your duties will include;

  • Coordinate suitable work placement opportunities for students
  • Maintain online database
  • Recruit new host employers suitable for work placement
  • Build and maintain relationships with host employers and schools
  • Liaise with High Schools and TAFE's to coordinate work placement opportunities
  • Ability to work and engage as a team member both within their immediate work environment and broader organisational context

Skills and experience

 

What we're looking for (selection criteria)

  1. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  2. Exceptional customer service skills
  3. Knowledge of the VET Sector
  4. Ability to build strong rapport with students and employers
  5. Class C Drivers Licence
  6. Positive and can-do attitude
  7. Demonstrated experience developing business relationships and networking
  8. Superior time management, administration and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise
  9. Demonstrated experience using Microsoft products and database systems
  10. Demonstrated knowledge of WHS practices and legislation
  11. Attendance at organisation meetings, network functions and events
  12. You will be required to have a Working with Children check and a National Police Check

Desirable Criteria

  1. Qualifications and/or related field experience in  Customer Service or Business
  2. Current First Aid Certificate
  3. Extensive knowledge of different regional industries and business
