Due to upcoming Maternity Leave within our team, we have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract. We are seeking a team member with well developed communication skills who is keen to learn and build upon their existing bookkeeping or accounting skills. The successful application must be well presented and pass a national police check.
As a member of the Finance Team, the Assistant Accountant will be located at our Cottage at the Cornelian Bay Cemetery. The Assistant Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and undertake the following:
As a member of the broader Finance Team undertake day-to-day Accounting tasks including: bank reconciliations, payroll processing, credit card reconciliation processing, balance sheet reconciliations, GST and FBT support;
Assist the Financial Controller with month-end journals and reporting tasks;
Assist with the Accounts Receivable function, inclusive of corresponding with our client families where required;
Preparation of weekly Accounts Payable payment runs; and
Assist with the collation of information for the bi-annual audit process.
