ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to the establishment of a new, centralised Booking Centre, we have a number of exciting opportunities for new Agents to join our team and assist in the scheduling of appointments for our patients. With experience in Medical / Radiology, or Health Insurance / Medicare billing experience being highly regarded, you will be the first point of contact for many of our patients. As such, it is expected that you will provide the highest standards of services at all times.
Being trained by experienced staff members who have the ability to share their years of knowledge and experience
Increase your existing knowledge of medical terminology as well as various medical imaging services

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Answering telephone calls and determining the service required
Delivering prompt and effective responses to patient bookings and enquiries by determining the extent of service required for the booking
Notifying patients of requirements prior to their visit
Liaising with technical and support staff regarding booked services
Quoting relevant fees and Medicare rebate amounts
Booking the service into the appointment diary at the relevant site
Informing patients of requirements prior to their visit
Other duties as directed by the Supervisor from time to time

Excellent communication and telephone skills - you must be articulate, able to listen and have empathy
Previous contact centre experience in dealing with high volume of calls
Health care / medical reception experience will be highly regarded
RIS/PACs systems experience will also be highly regarded
A proactive approach to learning and development
Resilient in the face of unpleasant and sometimes aggressive callers
