An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Commercial Solar Sales Team based at our Head Office on St Georges Terrace, Perth on a 12 month maximum term contract. 

Your primary accountability is Synergy’s Commercial Sales activities and to be responsible for proactively partnering with the sales channels to promote and secure solar sales across the contestable customer base and for identification of solar sales opportunities outside of Synergy’s existing customer base. Ideally you will be aware of current industry technologies, trends and competition. As well as demonstrated experience in business development and/or tendering in energy industry.

Some of your key accountabilities will be to:

  • Build robust and deep relationships with external clients, sales teams and financial teams with effective stakeholder management to execute sales of technical products.
  • Lead the continuous development of business and commercial skills and methods within the business pertaining to energy solutions
  • Using expert technical knowledge work with customers and sales teams to identify solutions for customer’s and build financial justification to secure sales
  • Using technical skills to demonstrate to potential customers the usefulness of the product or service and how it may suit the customer better than competing products that meet regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborating with the marketing and pricing to determine how products and services could be made or modified to suit the needs of the customer.

Your key accountabilities will be:

  • Develop strategies for top accounts which maximise partnership opportunities
  • Lead the continuous development of business and commercial skills and methods within the business pertaining to energy solutions
  • Provide on-going technical support and training for sales channels
  • Provide technical merchandising evaluation & support to meet regulatory requirements
  • Execute sales of technical products

To be successful, you will hold the following skills and attributes:

  • Have sound business acumen with the ability to make commercially viable business decisions and be able to demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Have a proven technical understanding of existing energy solutions with a thorough grasp of the energy sector and the disruptive technologies facing this market
  • Hold significant experience providing technical support or service in a commercial Solar sales environment
  • Have demonstrated experience in business development and/or tendering in energy industry 
  • Solid understanding of energy products and services products & tools
  • Experience of the changing electricity environment and key challenges facing electricity network operators and retailers is desirable.
