This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level support and assistance to the Head of Department, Civil Engineering. This key role will act as the main point of contact for senior executive staff, students and external stakeholders within the portfolio and is a key support for the activities of the Officer of Civil Engineering and Senior Management team.
As the Executive Assistant, you will be highly organised with the ability to prioritise competing interests, have strong attention to detail and a strong commitment to high-quality outcomes. You will be able to exercise appropriate judgement and initiative and have the professional presence and confidence to liaise expertly with high profile visitors and key leadership stakeholders, both within the University and with external parties.
Civil Engineering is a complex and fast-paced environment. You may be required to work flexible hours and face constant challenges to balance a number of demands in order to meet deadlines. You will also have opportunities to work autonomously using your own judgement and initiative.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
At Monash University, we are committed to being a Child Safe organisation. Some positions at the University will require the incumbent to hold a valid Working with Children Check.
If you have an extensive background in providing executive assistance at a senior level, we would love to hear from you.
