The Role

This role represents a great opportunity to be part of a landmark solar and battery storage installation project across South Australia.

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for completing work allocated by the Senior Project Manager, in a safe, efficient, timely and cost-effective manner through the diligent management of people and resources. The Construction Supervisor actively provides leadership and guidance to construction crews, as well as coordinating day to day operations, planning and scheduling of work.

Key deliverables include:

  • leading a team of safety focused people by supervising, coordinating and managing operational resources;
  • ensuring compliance to safety, business and client standards; and
  • oversee delivery of work across project sites.

Requirements

Essential Role Requirements

  • Previous relevant experience in a similar role, experience in solar or battery storage is advantageous

  • Excellent communications skills
  • The ability to set priorities and exercise flexibility where necessary
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, specifications and construction documents
  • Understanding of proper safety procedures and recognition of hazards
  • Trade certified or equivalent
  • Current and valid Drivers Licence
  • Competent application of computer software MS Office, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Project

Overall Responsibilities

  • Direct onsite supervision of staff and subcontractors
  • Application of knowledge, skills, tools, and other management techniques against project activities to meet the project requirements
  • Responsible for ensuring all works are constructed to c contract documents and within the allocated program timeframe safely and correctly
  • Comply with all company Quality Systems, policies and procedures
  • Complete site diaries daily
  • Completing site supervisors’ logs & site reports
  • Reporting on work progress
