Communication & Culture Advisor

The Dyson Group of Companies is a family owned organisation providing quality coach and bus services across Australia. As part of a constantly evolving industry, Dysons has over 1000 employees located between head office and regional depots.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated Communication & Culture Advisor Coordinator to join our People, Culture & Values team located at our head office in Bundoora.  This role will focus on key communication strategies within Dysons and will also contribute to the implementation of further initiatives to support the ongoing development of Dyson values and culture.

Specific duties include:

  • Compile and distribute the company newsletter & company announcements
  • Develop material for company noticeboards and distribute to all depots
  • Continuously review company internal communication methodology for effectiveness and efficiency
  • Maintain the company website and social media sites (for non-operational items)
  • Oversee the collection and maintenance of company memorabilia and photographs to ensure key company milestones are captured for future reference
  • Manage Dysons Reward & Recognition and Years of Service programs
  • Coordinate and support the Uniform Committee
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyse and report upon key themes identified through this process
  • Coordinate the purchase and distribution of company branded merchandise
  • Organise events such as end of term BBQs & Christmas functions
  • Organise the Christmas function (dinner dance) for Bundoora and Reservoir depots
  • Actively coordinate the Bundoora/Reservoir Social Club activities including attendance at Social Club events when required
  • Provide support and guidance to social clubs across the organisation

The successful person will have:

  • Highly organised with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet agreed timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in developing communication materials and messages across various channels (print and digital) and audiences
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Previous event management experience
  • Availability to attend social club events as required
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications / human resources or similar would be highly regarded.
