Key Account Manager

The company specialises in the design and manufacture of mining equipment attachments including the patented Hercules above ground dump truck tray, the Bullant underground tray and Barracuda mining buckets.   

Based in Perth, Western Australia our facility is state-of-the-art incorporating administration and sales through to the entire production process, including engineering to final fabrication for our customers. DT HiLoad has manufacturing facilities in Australia and overseas providing our customers in the resources industry with globally competitive manufacturing solutions.

With annual revenue targets in excess of $60M, this innovative organisation has achieved rapid growth in both national and international markets. Due to our highly valued reputation within the resources industry, driven by our people, culture and ability to provide quality outcomes, our Perth operation has an opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join our team.

Your role will include but not be limited to: 

  •  Provide professional after sales customer support to maximise availability and performance of DT Hiload products. Ensure that delivery of products is kept in line with the business model and contractual KPI’s.
  • Regular mine site visits to conduct wear and structural inspections on various DT HiLoad products.
  • Ensure the customer is kept up to date with their project in regard to costs, quality and timeline.
  • Act as the first responder for site support and ensure all issues are actioned and closed out in a timely fashion for your region.
  • Sales forecasting and EOM reporting.
  • Report writing using the data gathered in the field.
  • Quoting and Estimating tray and bucket parts/repairs.
  • Maintain the asset register for your region via the CMMS.   
  • Develop and maintain sound business relationships with key decision makers, effectively demonstrating our value to the clients.
  • Identifying and developing new business relationships.
  • Work as part of the Service and Supply team with a high level of autonomy. 
  • Develop a culture which encourages self-driven personal development, team work and collaboration in a team environment, process improvements whilst upholding our company values.  

To be effective in this role the successful applicant will possess the following skills:

  • 5 years’ experience within the Engineering and/or Resources Industry with a proficient
  • Level of managerial skills to successfully manage a large-scale project
  • Formal qualifications in Project Management, Certificate IV in Frontline Management or equivalent
  • Trade certificate in Boilermaker/Welding or equivalent is desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with people from a broad range of backgrounds
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • People and Project management skills
  • Previous exposure to planning and scheduling – resources and equipment
