The Role & Company
Reporting to the NSW General Manager and working alongside their proven Business Development Manager & Marketing department, you will be the Business Development Coordinator tasked with sourcing tender leads and seeking out opportunities with Clients to enter into a Building Partnership with them.
Initially, you will be predominantly Head Office based in Pyrmont, using their strong variety of construction software and databases to generate, follow up on and deliver Expressions of Interest (EOI) and Tender opportunities. You will be exposed to Clients across State and Federal Government including Health & Education, Corporate Office Space, Aged Care providers & Universities. You will be able to demonstrate strong articulation and organisation, be resilient to a competitive market and understand the nuances of developing long term Client relationships in key sectors. Ideally you will have worked within the construction industry either in a technical role or even within Construction Recruitment. You will be well presented, intelligent and looking to become a leader in your field with a strong network.
As your role develops, you will start to attend meetings with relevant Clients alongside the GM and/or BDM and learn how to seek out opportunities that can transfer to live projects.
The Builder has been around for more than 40 years and have offices across the Eastern Seaboard of Australia. As a National, Tier 2 Builder, they continue to grow and build a range of construction projects to $30M. Their Sydney office is a lively and professional place to work led by a proven General Manager with a wealth of contacts and experience.
They currently have over $300M of project opportunity to tender and are confident of growing this to over $500M within the next 6 months.
Qualifications & Experience
You will be able to demonstrate a minimum of 2 years' successful Sales experience in Construction or an associated field such as Construction Recruitment, Subcontracting or Consultancies including Architecture, Engineering and Design
You will be well presented, confident, intelligent, articulate, humble and be able to naturally develop key Client relationships
Your organisation and planning skills with an ability to manage your time successfully will be key strengths
You will have an identified passion for construction and design
You will be resilient and hard working with a proven track record in delivering KPI's
You will be looking for a long term career in construction sales and have the ambition to become a leading Business Development Manager in the industry
