COMPANY ACCOUNTANT - LEADING NUTRITION SUPPLEMENT COMPANY

A well-established, premium nutrition supplement company is currently recruiting an experienced, dedicated and efficient Company Accountant to cover a 12-month maternity leave role, with the option to extend into a full-time position.

This full-time role requires a proactive individual with a sound ability to navigate complex company structures. Youll be responsible for all financial administrative operations of the business and are expected to implement and refine processes in finance, accounting and cost control in order to support the continued growth of this global brand.  

This position reports directly into the CEO & COO and works closely with our global distributors, manufacturers, internal team, and external accounting firm.

Day-to-day duties of the role include:

  • Management of Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Processing of monthly payroll, quarterly superannuation payments, monthly IAS and workers compensation
  • Accurate and timely preparation of monthly management reports
  • Cashflow management including preparation of weekly payment plan and updating of the cashflow forecast for review with CEO
  • Assist with Government and Private business grant claims
  • Quarterly AU GST Return, and liaising with external advisors for the preparation of UK VAT Return and bi-monthly NZ GST Return
  • Assisting external accountants in handling of yearend tax return
  • Management of production costs
  • Completion of the month-end accounts including processing of stock reconciliation and other adjustments
  • Managing ad-hoc sales reports and projects as required

 

To succeed in the role, you must possess the following skills and experience:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance and CA/CPA qualified with 5 years post qualification experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with manufacturing operations and inventory management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and confidence in ones own ability
  • Commitment to a positive work culture
  • Demonstrated experience in month end close including reporting, planning and forecasting
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and capacity to meet deadlines
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, Reckon/Xero
