We operate over two sites, selling 7 new vehicle brands, pre-owned vehicles and trucks along with multiple service and parts departments.
About the role
Poyser Motor Group currently have an exciting opportunity for someone with hands-on accounting experience looking to take their career to the next level. Reporting to the Management Account, this role will support the General Manager of Finance and work closely with all departments across the business to provide a high quality, reliable and efficient accounting function.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Day to day core accounting processing and departmental support
Maintaining the general ledger to a high standard
Ensuring month end and financial year end closing transactions are completed and timelines met
Balance sheet reconciliations
Vehicle inventory management
Cash flow management
Assist with monthly management reports and manufacturer reporting
Departmental financial and trend analysis
Maintain the fixed asset register
Dealer Management System updates and support
Identification and implementation of business process improvements.
Completion of BAS and FBT returns
Assist in external audit preparation requirements

Skills and experience
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Qualified Accountant with 5 or more years experience
Just completed or nearing completion of CA/CPA.
Solid analytical skills, highly organised and strong attention to detail.
Strong business acumen & commercial awareness.
Excellent communication skills both oral & written.
Experience with a large ERP system and excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Experience in the Australian automotive industry preferred but not essential.
