Due to growth and expansion, Australian Internships are seeking the expertise of an Internship Placement Manager to join our highly successful team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing relationships with Technical & Professional Services companies including IT, Digital, Engineering and/or Resources to provide internship opportunities across Australia.
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for developing strong relationships with Host Organisations to secure and grow revenue streams through strategic partnerships with the technical and engineering industry. This is a blended role split between business development and account management of a new and existing portfolio of Host Organisations.
The main duties are to:
Lead Australian Internships positioning, business development, negotiations and communications with the Technical and Engineering sector to achieve placement numbers;
Increase the number of Host Organisation within the Technical, Engineering and Professional Services industry to grow new business opportunities as part of a collaborative team;
Negotiate and develop strategic partnerships with Host Organisations to secure multiple internship placements with each company;
Understand how different intern program dates and project intakes interlink and overlap and work strategically with industry to develop a rollover system for intern placements;
Lead ongoing negotiations and engagements with the Technical and Engineering industry to increase recognition of the Professional Internships Program and Australian Internships and influence business growth both in Australia and abroad;
Perform end-to-end Intern placement duties with Host Organisations in the Technical and Engineering sector;
Ensure financial and business KPI's are exceeded as set by Operations Manager;
To be considered for this role you must have the following skills, qualifications, experience, and attributes:
Previous experience in a high performing sales environment;
Highly driven to perform sales and new business development activities;
Demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence and resilience;
Commercial and financial acumen;
Advanced written and verbal communication skills including active listening and probing questioning skills;
Exception self-awareness and the ability to manage high-pressure situations and work to tight deadlines;
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
