About the role

This critical Leadership rolewill be responsible for developing an integrated planning process aligned to industry best practice across all planning time horizons. With a focus on facilitating input from all stakeholders across the delivery chain, the role will establish resource level requirements for both TasNetworks internal workforce and external service providers and determine how work is best executed (internal vs external delivery). Responsible for day-to-day tactical management of TasNetworks Program of Work this Leader will balance network (Asset) risk whilst maximising financial benefits available through delivery efficiencies and regulatory incentive schemes.

Acting as a key custodian of TasNetworks new Management Operating System (MOS), this role will encompass effectiveness monitoring, maintenance, continuous improvement and reporting to enable TasNetworks to realise the full value of the implementation of our recent investment.

About the Business

At TasNetworks, we own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution networks in Tasmania, together with a supporting telecommunications network. We deliver a safe, efficient and reliable electricity supply to more than 285,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in Tasmania. We also provide a connection to the Basslink undersea interconnector, and our network supports energy supply to customers in the broader National Electricity Market.

The National Electricity Market is transforming as new energy generation infrastructure replaces ageing infrastructure. Marinus Link and supporting transmission upgrades can support this transition by providing access to a low-cost, clean and reliable energy supply for customers.

About you

With an Engineering background, you will have extensive experience leading teams within a planning and programming discipline and bring an understanding of the National Electricity Market and regulatory framework. You will have a high level of technical comprehension of each input in the delivery chain (design through to execution) and enjoy driving and delivering results utilising both your analytical capability and commercial focus.

As a highly constructive leader, you will demonstrate the ability to optimally challenge the status quo whilst building trust based relationships and providing effective feedback. You will thrive in a collaborative environment working across multiple groups at TasNetworks (including external contractors) to facilitate the development of a deliverable plan.
