About the business
CEDA the Committee for Economic Development of Australia is an independent, not-for-profit member-based think tank that works to champion ideas, research and policy reform. We do this by identifying policy issues that matter for Australia's future and pursuing solutions to positively shape economic and social development in Australia.
CEDA's membership spans every state and territory and includes more than 780 of Australia's leading businesses, community organisations, government departments and academic institutions. The organisation was founded in 1960 by leading economist Sir Douglas Copland, and his legacy of applying economic analysis to practical problems to aid the development of Australia continues in our work today.
CEDA is a national organisation with offices in every state. Our VIC/TAS team is based in our newly designed Melbourne CBD office and we are engaging casual events assistant to assist the team and the Senior Events Coordinator in delivering CEDA events in Victoria we work hard together as a team and have fun at the same time.

About the role
We are seeking casual Event Assistants to assist our VIC/TAS team in delivering and coordinating CEDA events in Victoria.
Assist with the event set up & packing down event materials after the event.
Manage delegate registration at event (i.e. handing out name badges etc.)
Greet guests and assist them with any enquiries.
Assist in handing microphones to guests during the Q&A
As required, assist Senior Event Coordinator in liaising with AV personnel.
Skills and experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have the following key skills and attributes:
Relevant tertiary qualifications, i.e. Event management and possibly Marketing, Communications or similar, desired but not necessary
Event management experience with a passion of delivering and working on outstanding events
Excellent customer service attitude
High energy levels and a can-do attitude
An ability and interest to connect and engage with guests and stakeholders
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to show initiative and work under minimal supervision
Values aligned to CEDA's organisational values (trust, curious, succeed together, brave and passionate).
