Client-Side Project Manager - Installation Manager

This organisation has already established a great track record of delivery on major rail infrastructure projects in Australia and New Zealand, and is tendering for, and winning, new projects often. 

The company is a leader of the railway industry offering one of the most comprehensive and flexible arrays of products in railway related markets, such as rolling stock, components, infrastructure, signalling and services (maintenance, refurbishing and financial services).


Joining the team in the design phase, you will report directly to the Project Director, who will be based in Sydney and will join you in Dubbo as necessary. Your role will encompass elements of track and civil design and construction, signalling, catenary design and build and commercial construction of a large industrial maintenance shed.

You will be responsible for liaising daily with the subcontractor and their subcontractors, for managing the program to ensure milestones are met, ultimately you must ensure delivery on time and within budget.


  1. It is ESSENTIAL that you have previous experience, on the ground, in the delivery of rail track and civil projects in conjunction with, working for or subcontracted to Transport for NSW.
  2. You MUST have the strength of character to work independently managing a high dollar value project with a tough subcontractor.
  3. You WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED if you aren't already living in regional Australia, DO NOT HAVE full Australian working rights AND HOLD a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
