Roblawmax are currently seeking the skills of Compliance Officer to manage the overall compliance programme at a global mining house in Central NSW. Reporting to the Finance Director you will play a key role within the Financial Management leadership team and work closely with their Head Office.
In summary you will be responsible for:
Monitoring compliance with both local and overseas codes of conduct
The administration of corporate compliance policies and procedures
Review third party agreements
Coordinate and participate in training programs
Maintain compliance reporting systems
Assisting the legal team with internal compliance investigations
To be considered for this Compliance Officer role you will possess:
Bachelors degree with a legal major or equivalent
A minimum of 5 years experience in Governance, Internal Controls and Audits
Knowledge of internal controls, corporate governance, finance, quality assurance and human resource procedures and regulations
Detailed knowledge of relevant Accounting Standards and statutory reporting requirements
Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley compliance requirements
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Mining, construction or heavy industry experience is desirable
The position will require relocation to Central NSW (all expenses covered by the client) working Monday to Friday, and just a short 40 minute flight to Sydney.
