The Industrial Business Development Manager role is primarily based in Perth and the surrounding areas, however there will be requirements to travel intra and interstate.
You'll work as a trusted and integral team member reporting directly to the Sales Manager, responsible for managing current and growing business as well as prospecting new business opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Forging and maintaining strong relationships with key contacts in existing and new accounts.
Developing opportunities to cross-sell products to existing clients.
Strategic brainstorming and implementation of new business development initiatives
Achieve and exceed revenue and margin targets in allocated territories.
Identify new business opportunities in your territory and manage sales pipeline.
Perform prospecting activities and maintain a sufficient base of prospects to enable completion of sales targets. Prospecting activities include cold calling, proposal preparation, product demonstrations, customer analysis and needs assessments.
Maximise all leads & opportunities to increase deal number and size and accelerate the buying process.
Design and execute business development plans with distribution partners to drive sales.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of both Chemform products & systems as well as competitive products to enable effective customer interactions and sales opportunity development.
Manage your time accordingly between Account Management (customer retention and growth) and new Business Development.
Liaising with personnel throughout the entire business to ensure mutual goals are achieved.
Developing and leveraging the companys branding and professional profile.
You will need:
Minimum two years of previous sales experience in the industrial sector
Experience within the chemical industry is required.
Strong focus and passion for business development.
A customer focused and can do attitude.
An ability to build rapport with people at all levels.
A hands on approach to business.
A proven ability to plan, develop and execute business strategies.
Excellent communication, listening, planning, time management & presentation skills.
