Working for an evolving service-based firm in the inner skirts of Brisbane , the position of Category Manager will see you translating procurement requirements into high quality effective contracts. This role will see you being involved in all aspects of category planning and management, supplier sourcing, contract administration and management, stakeholder relationships and maintenance of procurement standards. This is a strategic and delivery-based role where you will play a pivotal role in contributing towards broader organisational objectives for Clients within your portfolio. You will need to be autonomous in the management and administration of contracts and be an integral interdisciplinary collaborator and team member.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Efficient and effective operator and approach, with a commercial mindset and acumen to build relationships and deliver more capacity building opportunities for Clients
An adaptable, lateral and forward thinker with an innovative mindset, you will be empowered to own and initiate innovative change to consistently deliver highly valued procurement resources and services
Highly developed communication and consultation skills, you will be an expert across contracts, procurement agreements and preferred supplier agreements
Extensive experience in contract administration, negotiation and contract management, coupled with a good knowledge of procurement systems and processes gained from public sector environments.
