Communications Coordinator

Exciting new opportunity in communications, Collaborative and encouraging, Environment, horticulture, food safety focus.

Freshcare is the Australian fresh produce industrys own on-farm assurance program, meeting the needs of growers in fulfilling both domestic and international market requirements.  As we undertake exciting new projects, we have an exceptional opportunity for an individual who is technologically savvy, creative and detail focused.  This is a newly created position and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with stakeholders at all levels and the ability to understand the importance of effective messaging to articulate the organisations branding.

To be successful in this role, it is required that you can demonstrate the following:

  • Degree qualification in journalism, communications or marketing
  • Min 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience developing and implementing end to end communication/PR strategy and planning
  • Experience in producing creative communication content to maintain the business reputation
  • Graphic design of flyers, digital ads, printed collateral, posters etc
  • Social Media SME (subject-matter expert): you can confidently navigate your way around the social media landscape, stay on top of emerging trends, practices and channels, and understand the intricacies of creating content across all key channels
  • A champion in best-practice social content creation, and strengthening audience engagement by ensuring content is relevant and of the highest standard
  • Excellent written communication skills, spelling and grammar
  • Previous experience in website management including content strategy, content production and maintenance
  • High-level organisational skills, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of best-practice SEO and content optimisation is also desired
  • Previous experience with digital platforms and systems such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, WordPress, Google Analytics, Canva, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Google My Business
  • Assist with conference coordination and event promotion
  • Management of brand development and branding guidelines
  • Must possess a strong passion for work, with the ability to coordinate different functional teams
  • A positive attitude with excellent customer service qualities
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results
  • An interest in agriculture, horticulture and/or the environment will be advantageous

Reporting to the Extension & Engagement Manager, the position will be located at the Sydney Markets, Homebush office and is offered as a full time Monday to Friday role.  There is on-site parking available and the office is in walking distance to public transport.
