The Infrastructure & Technical Services Team deliver outstanding support to the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences (ECMS) students, academics and researchers
Working under general direction, the Technical Support Officer will work collaboratively with Faculty of ECMS staff and students to facilitate goods receiving and dispatch, monitor stock, maintain equipment lists, advise staff and students on procurement options and, monitor project costs, in line with the strategic direction of the Faculty.
With your excellent customer service skills, you will be keen and enthusiastic and, able to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders.
To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrated ability to develop a customer-service culture and working relationships with a broad range of clients.
- High level organisational skills, ability to prioritise a large number of tasks and work well under pressure.
- Ability to exercise initiative and work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Sound computer skills and hands-on experience in using data bases.
- Knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements relating to a stores, workshop or laboratory environment including chemical handling.
