The full-time position, is based at our Production Facility located in Bassendean. We are looking for someone to tackle the responsibility of managing all incoming and outgoing goods as well as a multitude of warehouse tasks to make sure our day to day operations run as smoothly as possible. As a part of both the production and administration team, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn components of both production and administration processes as they progress with their employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working in a varied temperature-controlled environment
  • Undertake all duties in a safe, responsible and courteous manner
  • Plan, pick, load and cross check daily sales orders
  • Employ correct stock rotation principles at all times based on 'first in first out' rule
  • Ensure warehouse is neat, clean and in a 'ready to pick' state at all times
  • Understand and adhere to OH&S regulations
  • Complete all site stock takes in a timely manner
  • Load/unload containers and delivery vehicles as required

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous forklift experience and a valid forklift license is essential
  • A degree of initiative to manage their time appropriately  once the primary job of picking and loading stock for deliveries has been completed
  • Experience picking orders preferably in the food service industry
  • Basic IT skills, recording stock in and out of a warehouse management system
  • Good communication skills
  • A sound understanding of stock control
  • Possess a high level of accuracy with attention to detail
  • Good time and organisational skills
  • Able to work in an active and fast paced environment
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Have a basic understanding of the end to end distribution process

The successful applicant is required to work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. This may include some weekend work, with provision for time in lieu provided when this occurs. The role may, from time to time, require flexibility of start and finish times.
