An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated commercial professional to apply their strong commercial project delivery knowledge while also leading the financial integration of a small Australian business into the global Siemens Mobility business. The Senior Project Commercial Professional to join our Mobility Team will be partly based in our offices in Macquarie Park, NSW as well as the premises of the company to be integrated based in Sydney, NSW. The primary responsibility will be for the completion of all commercial/financial related tasks to contribute to project success within the allocated major project while also managing the complete financial transition of a new business into the Siemens Mobility Business infrastructure.
Senior Project Commercial Professional for international Project in Sydney NSW.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Lead a major project according to the [email protected] guideline in the role as World Project Controller
Interact, cooperate and collaborate with an international project team and drive success across business units
Ensuring the compliance with the LoA guidelines for all commercial aspects.
Ensuring the accuracy of project books and records, including recording of such in the appropriate systems, e.g. SAP and ensuring their compliance
Supporting the Project Manager so that the financial results according to the set targets are managed, optimizing the project gross profit, cash flow using assets and financing instruments.
Actively communicating with customer's and subcontractors commercial representatives while managing the resolution of commercial issues.
Liaise with Contract management throughout the project delivery phase and drive positive claim management on the Project.
Together with the PM proactively setting up a contract and claim management strategy in the project.
Supporting the PM in identifying, evaluating and assessing risk and opportunities, strategies and response activities
Supporting the Project Manager to select and involve partners / subcontractors.
Representing the project in the relevant decision boards internally and externally.
Agreeing on targets with commercial project staff and delegates
Leading commercial project team members to act according to the Business Conduct Guidelines and establishes a culture of trust and integrity.
Commercial Lead for transition of newly acquired business into the Siemens Mobility Portfolio
Your key responsibilities will include:
Commercially Lead the integration of a small Australian business over a period of 2 years up to full integration into the Siemens Mobility Portfolio
Introduce standard Siemens processes during the transition and integration of the new integration
Holistic reporting of all financial KPI to the CFO and Regional Commercial Manager of New South Wales and New Zealand as well as the global integration team
Review, report and manage the transition of the current accounting processes towards Siemens standard processes
Work together with the CEO and Integration Manager to assure achievement of economic targets during the transition
Help to introduce the Siemens brand across the existing business
Support the financial aspects of the IT integration into the new ERP system
Participation in international coordination meetings including the reporting of progress of the transition
The successful candidate demonstrates following experience & skills:
Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Accounting or Economics, with sound understanding of Project Management methodologies.
Experience in a project-based organisation which is essential for this role, as well as capabilities in project accounting.
Ideally you have experience with the application and execution of the Siemens Collaboration Model for large international projects (or equivalent) and have a corresponding commercial project certification.
Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to build sound working relationships paired with your experience in executing contracts.
Strong SAP and Excel skills will ensure your success in this role.
