This business has been making high performance building products and applications for architects, designers, specifiers and home builders for nearly a century and has been the proud supplier to numerous key residential construction projects across the country. The business is ready to appoint a new Key Account Manager to help take the Queensland business on its next growth trajectory.
Based in Brisbane and reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be given a group of key Queensland Home Builders and your role will be to ensure they specify your suite of products and applications on all their upcoming projects. This is a competitive market and requires the skills of a tenacious and driven BDM with good technical and numeracy skills who enjoys presenting to key customers and is just as comfortable in a boardroom or in a site meeting.
A degree in business or tertiary qualifications in a construction discipline will be highly regarded, but the key to your success will be the strength of relationships that you have or can develop with the key decision makers, the ability to ask the right questions, the quality of your proposals, attention to detail and exemplary customer service.
This is a mature business with good systems and brilliant technical support services. Your days will be varied and involve a mixture of chasing down new projects, on site visits reviewing installations, managing customer expectations and helping the Channel Manager support the resellers.
You pride yourself on your ability to think strategically, identify and win new business opportunities, increase profit and revenue and improve business results. You understand the building and construction market and know how to present business solutions.
You are competitive with a track record of building successful and profitable business relationships through your drive, motivation and commitment to exceeding customer expectations and sales targets.
