The Role & Company
Working as a Junior Estimator for a Builder with a strong presence in NSW, you will be supporting the Bid and Estimating team and learning how to put tenders together in a busy and competitive market. There is existential room for career growth as the company gets larger however you will be focused on a long term career in Estimating.
They are an ambitious business with plans to become one of the leading Builders in Sydney and expand into different States of Australia.
Reporting to the Senior Estimator within the NSW Division, you will gain a holistic understanding of the estimating process, how to value engineer, how to liaise and negotiate with Subcontractors and how to measure projects to deliver an accurate and competitive bid. Working with industry leading systems including Procore and Buildsoft, you will be mentored and supported by the pre-construction team to become a leading Estimator in your own right.

Qualifications & Experience
You will ideally be studying for a Bachelor of Construction Management and available to work a minimum of 3/4 days per week
You will want to become an Estimator as opposed to Project Manager - Estimating is the most financially rewarding sector of the construction industry
You will be a self-starter, passionate about the industry and understand you have a lot to learn
You will ideally have 6 to 18 months practical experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor looking for a long term role
You will have excellent English Language skills and strong all-round communication
Experience of working within the construction industry is desirable
