Project Manager

We are partnering with a wholly owned subsidiary of a global corporation, who have established themselves in Australia as a market leader within the power generation sector who provide specialist equipment, technologies and technical expertise to their customers across this industry.
Their business consists of highly skilled and specialist engineering and technical personnel who provide services and solutions to power station, transmission and distribution plant owners / operators and developers.

There is an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join this leading organisation. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple existing and potential future power generation projects, to ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Directing and coordinating site-based projects involving power generators and related equipment and systems
  • Managing schedules, resource requirements, and project quality standards
  • Coordinating project costs, and variations to project scope
  • Dealing with technical matters between the customer and suppliers
  • Liaising with and coordinating international manufacture and design of products
  • Managing the production, delivery, installation, and testing of customer products
  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress, and adhering to project deadlines
  • Overseeing all project documentation and quality procedures
  • Designing, delivering, and reviewing on-site risk mitigation strategies
  • Providing troubleshooting and problem solving throughout projects
  • Facilitating compliance testing of products


As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering, or similar
  • Previous experience in a similar position, with specific experience managing products within the power generation industry
  • experience working in Powerstation or equivalent heavy industrial environments on maintenance or construction projects in an engineering capacity on turbine generators
  • Experience with and willingness to work on- site during projects
  • Strong report writing and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem- solving ability
  • A desire to work in a hands-on capacity
