St Elizabeth Home Aged Care Facility was established by the Hungarian Community 52 years ago. Located in Dean Park on 4 hectares of landscaped grounds the facility provides quality accommodation and care services for aged people primarily of Hungarian background. It has a capacity of 114 beds, including a 20-bed secure dementia wing and 19 self-contained retirement village villas.
We are currently seeking an experienced management accountant to join our small finance team. This is a hands-on role that reports to the Financial Controller. The primary focus of the role will be to manage the aged care facilitys accounting function, delivering financial and management reporting, implementing streamlined accounting procedures, and working with the Financial Controller to develop and meet operational goals.
To be successful in the role you will:
Prepare a comprehensive range of financial reports and analysis.
Develop and maintain sound financial controls.
Work with the Financial Controller to ensure the delivery of relevant, accurate and timely financial information.
Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.
Assist with the annual audit and year end process,
Manage all banking related activities, inventory analysis and efficiency reviews.
Skills & experience required:
Experience in not for profit and aged care industry accounting is a must.
A minimum 5 years professional experience.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills.
Demonstrable ability in driving process improvement.
Collaborative work style, with excellent communication skills.
