As Finance Officer you will be responsible for supporting the Accounting Operations Coordinator by providing a range of processing activities backing up the implementation of accounting processes and procedures ensuring compliance with TAFE NSW. Working in collaboration with Accountants and Finance Business Partners you will assist in ensuring accounting operations process are coordinated to meet the needs of the business.
We have two temporary opportunities; 10 month and 12 month contracts located at TAFE NSW Newcastle campus.
To succeed in this role, you will have your certificate IV in finance (and related disciplines) or equivalent skills along with experience with SAP and reporting systems to prepare, assist and contribute to end of period reconciliations, requests for information, reports and submissions. Additionally your technology literacy and knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, and other government regulations, policies and procedures would be beneficial but is not a necessity.
You will have a keen eye for data collection, data extensions and data analysis that you will be able to reflect in TAFE NSWs values in the way you produce your work, and abide by policies and procedures promoting a safe and healthy working environment. You will be proactive, display a high level of initiative and time management skills in order to respond to stakeholder requests at short notice. Strong communication skills and the ability to develop key working relationships will enable you to provide advice, clarification and support to internal stakeholders and work collaboratively across the organisation
