SMSF Administrator and Business Services Accountant

This large mid-tier firm is looking for a new member within their SMSF team. The role will commence as SMSF Administrator to grow to an SMSF Accountant, with 30% Business Services. This firm is easily accessible via train
  
Duties within this role:
  

  • SMSF Administration, including filing, coding
  • Establishment of SMSF
  • Be responsible for client data maintenance
  • Payment benefits, redemptions functions, maximum contributions 
  • Establishing new accounts as well as rollovers and commutations
  • Responding and managing advisor and member enquiries including change of details and contributions
  • Liaising with advisers, members and internal customers to effectively solve queries and changes
  • In time you will be trained to be an SMSF Accountant where you will be responsible for the financials of approx. 60- 80 SMSF, as well as 30% of Business Services / Tax Compliance
  • The firm uses a mix of BGL and APS

  
Skills and personal attributes:
  

  • Have an Accounting degree or Diploma
  • Excellent communication
  • A passion for Accounting in particular SMSF
  • Have 1 + years of experience working in an Accounting firm – Business Services / Tax experience would be an advantage
  • Must have a good attitude and a basic understanding of Accounting
  • Have excellent attention to detail
