This is a hands on role involving counter sales, telephone sales and internal sales as we have a wide and diverse customer base. The role will be supported by senior staff who will assist with all technical aspects as you learn more about the products.
This is a varied and interesting role encompassing most of the traditional customer service and internal sales type functions. We are looking for an energetic sales assistant with solid interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ideally a confident, well organised team player with good initiative and who enjoys a hands on challenge and can work independently and as part of a small hardworking team. Attention to detail, accuracy, a positive can-do attitude and the ability to meet deadlines is important also.
Solid computer skills, data entry and processing are a must including proficiency within MS Office.
Duties will include...
Answering inbound phone calls and emails promptly.
Attending to customer enquiries and queries.
Assisting senior staff and attending to counter sales counter sales
Processing sales orders, local supplier purchase orders and other data entry.
Liaising with the warehouse on order to delivery process.
Track and monitor back orders and forward orders relative to stock on hand and in-bound shipments.
Follow up with selected customers on sales quotes
Supporting the sales team with admin duties and quotes to selected customers.
Build and maintain relationships with key customers from an internal sales position.
Fluent English is essential.
Other duties as may be reasonably requested by Management.
Business Hours are from 8.00am until 4.30pm Monday to Friday and we do not operate on weekends
