Build2grow is a local Residential Building Company seeking a full time account in its rapidly expanding business. 


About the role

Duties mentioned below include are performed as part of our Accounting role. While you perform some of these duties under the supervision of our Senior Accountant, others are like Accounts receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, etc. are performed under your supervision.

  • Summarizing current financial ; preparing balance sheet, Cash Flow, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Preparing Monthly reconciliation statements for the company's all bank accounts.
  • Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Developing budgetary & accounting policies to analyze the business performance during the year.
  • Manage Accounts payables and receivables.
  • Preparing & Lodging PAYG & GST returns for the business.
  • Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS) and review business performance quarterly.
  • Payroll process including payroll tax & super for the employees.
  • Making sure reports are properly made as per the accounting standards.
  • Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
  • Coordinate and control financial systems and cash flow processes.
  • Maintaining and updating our company information with ASIC.

Skills and experience


  • Experience in a similar role (preferably in the construction or property industry) will be advantageous
  • Bachelor Degree with a major in Finance or Accounting.  Have commenced or looking to commence CPA studies
  • Advanced experience in MYOB, XERO and MS Office (Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Detailed and demonstrated knowledge across all aspects of the accounting function
  • A strong degree of initiative with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Ability to manage a busy workload with strong organisational & time management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving
  • Strong ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work with conflicting time constraints
  • High level of accuracy & attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with high end clients
  • Ability to work in a growing company environment and seeks to contribute ideas with a focus on process and system development & improvement
  • Professional, friendly and honest
