Transport for NSW is delivering a once-in-a-century investment in new infrastructure and services, including Sydney Metro. The first line of this new fully automated railway opened this year and by 2024 will deliver 31 metro stations and more than 66km of metro rail. Planning is also underway for future lines which will shape the way Australias largest city travels, making Sydney Metro the biggest public transport project in the nations history.

The opportunity
Sydney Metro has a rare opportunity for a Senior Advisor Contamination to play a key leadership role within our Environment, Sustainability & Planning team. Reporting to the Associate Director Environment, you will implement and maintain the contaminated land strategy for our business.

You will provide expert advice to ensure Sydney Metro project planning, delivery and property management are carried out in accordance with best practice. Utilizing your effective communication skills you will work with our delivery partners to ensure the project meets and exceeds standards.

About you

Proven experience infrastructure delivery and/or operations

Qualified in Environmental Engineering/Engineering Science/Natural Resources Management or a related field and looking for an opportunity to get involved in an iconic, long-term infrastructure project set to have a massive impact on NSW.

Experience in the management of contaminated lands and providing environmental specialist services.

To be successful, you will have a proven ability to development strong relationships, present, engage and influence to achieve the best outcomes using your project management acumen and stakeholder management. You will have a proactive and resilient approach to dealing with challenging, complex and sensitive situations and a team player with an ability to work across a number of assignments.
