PRODUCT MANAGER - LEADING HARDWARE INDUSTRY SUPPLIER
Accountable for implementation & execution of New Products from the concept stage through the total product life cycle to optimize profit & meet marketing, financial & corporate growth objectives. This role is responsible for defining, positioning, pricing & promoting the product, along with managing the market adoption & product life cycle. As such, the Product Manager owns the product & is ultimately responsible for its overall success.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Conduct continuous market research & analysis to identify & define new products.
Identify, research & develop business case for new market opportunities to profitably grow the business.
Lead cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept to commercialization.
Process, manage & create all communication documents related to product lines.
Research & understand all technical requirements/standards for any new product group.
Manage sourcing, vendor relationships & vendor quotes in coordination with Purchasing.
Prepare & coordinate with Sales & Marketing all new product launches.
Analyze post-launch impact of new product introductions.
Conduct sales presentations to identified customers as required.
Provide all necessary training to company sales reps & distributors.
Excellent analytical skills including, but not limited to; problem solving & financial analysis.
Excellent written, oral communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to make convincing group presentations. Ability to gauge audiences & adjust delivery style.
Strong ability to multi-task.
Strong computer skills with emphasis on MS Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Project.
