About the role

PHAA is seeking a suitably qualified person for full-time (37.5 hour week) or as close to full-time work as possible in our National Office in Deakin, ACT. Applicants wishing to work part time will be considered.
The Administration Officer is responsible for providing day-to-day management and administrative support. The position requires a high level of organisational skills, ability to multi-task, strong communication, attention to detail and sound computer skills.

Salary package

Remuneration will be dependent on experience with a pro-rata salary package range, including superannuation of between $56,000 $68,000 per annum.  Additional casual loading will be payable in the first month.  In addition to this, attractive salary packaging benefits are available to all PHAA employees.

Main Duties

  • Administrative support to Operations & Finance Manager
  • Diary management and support to the CEO
  • Daily liaison with members and maintenance of membership database
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and public
  • Meetings preparation including minute taking and videoconferencing set up
  • General administration and office support.
  • Manage website updates, uploads and coordinating IT support in consultation with others
  • Other duties relating to the position and/or as requested by the CEO  

Selection Criteria

  • Proven experience in supportive role in financial areas
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high level administrative support to CEO and/or Board and Executive members within a Not-for-Profit or similar environment
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to be flexible, prioritise work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to use sound judgement and work in a team
  • Sound written and oral communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Sound computer & technological skills including Microsoft Office Suite and MYOB (preferred but not essential)
  • Desirable web-based content management skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment.

This position is for an initial 1 month casual period, however there may be a possibility of extension and ongoing work.
