Open Access College plays an important and critical role in addressing educational disadvantaged for South Australian Students who are not able to attend school in person or are unable to access aspects of the full curriculum at their local school. The College is a leader in distance education and operates from Campuses located in Adelaide and Port Augusta. The College caters for Reception to Year 12 students, providing dynamic and innovative teaching and learning programs.
About of the role:
This is a PERMANENT POSITION at Open Access College.
37.5hours/week (hours and roster may be negotiable)
Providing effective financial and asset management support to officers across the college
Ensuring practices and procedures are adhered to and maintained in accordance with OAC and Departmental policies and guidelines.
Key functions include financial and accounting processing, including travel bookings, and supporting of the colleges assets and equipment processes
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their:
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Proven ability to communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, and to develop and sustain sound working relationships, with staff, students, parents and members of the community from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work flexibly and autonomously in a demanding, dynamic and customer-focused environment, often under pressure and with limited direction towards achieving agreed outcomes.
Sound practical experience in a financial role in a large organisation.
Sound practical experience in using software related to financial and asset management, generating complex reports using a range of software packages, spreadsheets and databases.
Sound working knowledge of financial and asset policies and procedures.
The incumbent will be required to be cleared through a Department of Human Services (DHS) Working With Children Check prior to confirmation of appointment, and every 5 years thereafter.
The incumbent will be required to undertake Responding to Abuse and Neglect training.
