Slam Engineering are seeking applications of highly skilled individuals for the position of Mechanical Project Engineer, to work directly with their client United Wambo Joint Venture.
Our team consists of multi-disciplined Engineers in the engineering fields of Electrical, Mechanical, and Mining. We undertake high-end engineering including Statutory relief work, Project Management and Reliability programs. In addition to this we have an array of specialised engineers that cover site supervision, preparing and delivering training packages, design and drafting, scopes of work, hazardous area assessments, reliability including FMECA process, audits and leading preventative maintenance programs.
As the Mechanical Project Engineer, you will work closely with United Wambo Joint Venture representatives and other team members to achieve project delivery and clients' requirements. This role will require you to co-ordinate capital expenditure from specification, selection through to site delivery of maintenance related capital items.
Applicants will be willing to undertake multiple challenges and should possess the following attributes:
a mature work attitude;
the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment;
a willingness to work in a site location;
current driver's license; and
able to pass drug and alcohol tests.
Minimum requirements are:
Diploma to Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering;
5+ years in engineering roles;
5+ years of mine site experience;
Project Management / Supervision;
Experience with development of project budgets and schedules;
Preparation of scope of works documents;
Any of the following specialised skills would be highly regarded:
Mechanical trade qualification;
Experience working with ERP systems i.e. SAP.
Reliability techniques and defect management;
Site engineering, either underground or open-cut or fixed plant processing and heavy infrastructure;
Facilitating or participating in risk assessments; and
Working towards a WHS (Mines & Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2014 Practising Certificate.
