Who we are looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic, switched on Company Accountant to join our growing business. Be self-managed, like challenges, thrives on problem solving, manage multiple tasks and responsibilities at a time, and who has an interest and passion for the built environment.

You will be responsible for the end to end Financial function within the business group. Supported by Accounts Payable/Receivable officer and Signoff by Company Directors.

What you need to succeed.

  • Have an interest in Property, Engineering and Development.
  • Understand Project phases and general process.
  • Established skills and experience in financial management, accounting, cost and time       analysis.
  • Proactively managing financial resources.
  • Strong Accounts Receivable and Payable experience.
  • Strong Debtor Management experience.
  • Proactively delivering financial reporting with insight into trends, analysis and highlights.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, and a strong capacity to understand and work effectively within the commercial parameters of project delivery is critical.
  • Knowledge in Contracts or legal frameworks associated with work orders, engagement and deliverables.
  • Be open to learning, adapting and participating wherever needed.
  • Experience in the use of MYOB and Xero.
  • Advanced knowledge and use of Excel, and intermediate of other Office Suite products.

You will have the following qualifications...

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably with an engineering,         construction or professional services business.
  • Finance or Accounting Degree.
  • CPA or CA qualified preferred or close to completion.

  • Financial Management, reporting and Financial planning
  • Preparation and presentation of Budgets and forecasts
  • Cash and banking management
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Management Reporting. Trends and Insight Analysis.
  • Compliance Tax, BAS/IAS, FBT, Payroll Tax.
  • Insurance Professional Indemnity, Public Liability, Workcover.
  • Project Budgets, Actuals and tracking.
  • Invoicing Payable and Receivable.
  • MYOB and XERO functions.
  • Debtor Management.
  • Timesheet management and stop work orders and letters.
  • Monthly payroll and payroll management.
  • Property/lease management.
