This is a hands-on role where you will undertake the usual day to day financial accounting services (such as cash flow budgets, forecasting, posting journals, balance sheet reconciliations, as well as month and year-end), as well as supporting a team of Assistant Financial Accountants and assisting your manager with Treasury, Audit and other statutory requirements.
Working in a full-time fixed-term position (until 30 April 2021) you’ll enjoy working within systems and frameworks, be able to apply best practice, standards and consistency to your work and enjoy delving into the transactional world that financial services requires.
You’ll be a stickler for the details, thrive when given autonomy to deliver your work, whilst also being part of a collaborative & supportive team.
Not just a details person – you’ll also be comfortable engaging with people at all levels. You’ll be a specialist in your field and provide expert professional advice to both staff and clients on policies, practices, and processes to ensure that statutory compliance is maintained.

What you’ll have:
Degree qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Business or similar (or be actively working towards completion)
CPA/CA (or equivalent) whilst not essential would be ideal
Extensive experience delivering full function transactional financial accounting services and support, ideally within a government organisation or multi-faceted enterprise
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as an eye for the details and a collaborative team player approach
