Enirgi Power Storage Recycling is an industry leader in lead acid battery recycling. A subsidiary of the RAMCAR group, EPSR plays an integral part in ensuring used lead acid batteries are recycled into new batteries using modern, efficient & environmentally responsible practices. It is the only Australian based lead acid battery recycler that recycles all components of the battery.  

The business has had significant growth over its 10 year life and is now capable of recycling 70,000T of batteries while ensuring strict environmental conditions are met. Currently employing 78 people, the business is consistently looking to grow and increase its market share.

 

About the Role

Enirgi Power Storage Recycling (EPSR) operates a best practice Battery Recycling Facility in Wagga Wagga and we are currently looking for a responsible, organised and driven Finance Officer to join our team.

This 12 month contract, full time role is based in the administration building in Bomen. You will be reporting to the Financial Controller and will demonstrate your skills daily in this busy environment.

 

The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Assist with site specific Accounts Payable liaise with site employees for appropriate approvals. Troubleshoot any problems.
  • Review Goods inward report and verify that goods received for the month agree to purchase order receipts in ERP system.   Request any missing delivery dockets, if required.
  • Assist in reviewing payment runs.
  • Produce invoice requests from the FMS reports
  • Checking transport rates against invoiced service provision in Freight Management System (FMS)
  • Data entry in FMS and WMS as required
  • Ensure the accurate reporting and invoicing of Freight related activity.
  • Complete weekly Bank Reconciliations
  • Review and setup new suppliers in ERP.
  • Setup or amend Part Codes in ERP.
  • Check and Process POs Daily in the CRM system to ensure correct payment and compliance requirements are met, incl. GST issues for individual MDC / suppliers.
  • Backup for Accounts Payable as required. 
  • Capital Liaise with Plant Engineer each month in relation to progress of capital items.  Complete any CER completion forms, update Capital C/WIP report and balance to GL.  Forward copy of report to head office.
  • Complete all month end tasks to enable accurate and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial results in line with reporting timetable.
  • Perform accurate and complete reconciliations of general ledger accounts at month end in accordance with group procedures for EPSR.
  • Assist the Plant Controller in preparing detailed commentary and analysis of budget variances and key performance indicators each month.
  • Gather all documentation and complete FBT report
  • Assist with inventory stocktakes
  • Assist with audit documentation.
  • Assist with ensuring that internal controls are in place to meet internal and external auditors compliance requirements.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the companys accounting software and any related reporting systems.
  • Understand and observe Enirgis risk management policy and related procedures and undertake the requirements of the position with reasonable care in relation to personal and safety and the health and safety of other staff.
  • Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc projects.
  • Other duties related to the nature of the position at the direction of the Financial Controller.
  • Ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environments.

 

 The successful candidate will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Experience with ERPs and other finance processes (1+ years)
  • Experience in General Ledger Reconciliations
  • Fixed Asset Management experience
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Planning, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • A willingness to work as part of a team or on an individual basis
  • High standard of work, striving for continuous improvement
  • An eye for detail
