Join Muscular Dystrophy Queensland (MDQ) and help to meet the needs of Queenslanders living with muscular dystrophy and similar, progressive muscle wasting conditions. This is a casual position covering unplanned personal leave until 15 April 2020. However, a full-time temporary position becomes vacant after 9th May.

As a key member of our business administration team, your work will make a difference. Reporting to the General Manager Business and Development, youll work 5 days per week (with flexible start/finish times between 8am and 6pm), Monday to Friday.

Youre the perfect fit for this role if youre keen to take on the organisations full financial recordkeeping functions using MYOB AccountRight, including:

  • Daily accounts payable and receivable tasks, bank reconciliations and cash flow reporting
  • Fortnightly payroll for 25 staff 
  • End of month reporting to the management team and board of directors
  • Liaising with external auditors for our annual financial audit
  • Keeping on top of our external reporting requirements; BAS, PAYG, FBT and superannuation

Youll be happy to work in a small finance team while having your own distinct tasks. You can work autonomously and youre able to structure your work to meet external deadlines with time to spare. You will have relevant financial qualifications or be able to demonstrate significant experience in a similar position.

While not essential, it would be great if youve previously worked with a charity, in the non-profit sector and/or with an organisation providing NDIS services.
