Planner / Planning Engineer (P6)

About the Opportunity
With their core markets continuing to get busier, so too is their precontracts team, and an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Planner/ Planning Engineer to join the precontracts team, offering both tender and project planning services. You will be reporting to the Estimating Manager, and working closely with a small estimating team.
  
Key Accountabilities
Development and management of tender program/staging strategy within the estimating department

  • Assist with developing construction methodology
  • Preparation of tender documents, and budget estimates.
  • Prepare accurate planning and programmes for civil construction projects
  • Analyse project information regarding delivery
  • Analyse documentation in order to develop an optimal, and if required alternative construction program
  • Challenge program proposals to maximise efficiency
  • Strategically advise outcomes and direction

About You
In order to be shortlisted for this opportunity, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualified - Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying etc
  • Minimum 5+ years civil construction experience working in a contractor’s environment
  • Will be able to demonstrate good tenure in past employment
  • Proven knowledge of construction / engineering techniques and sequences
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 software specifically.
  • Accurate and complex reporting capabilities
  • Solid analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • A proven ability to work as part of a team
