An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Transport Allocator to join the team at our Woolworths Primary Connect depot located in Yennora. This role will be responsible for planning, directing and scheduling the day to day deliveries and pick ups for our team.
About the role:
Analysis of operating costs and improvement of existing systems
Fleet scheduling and allocations
Allocate runs in a time critical manner to ensure minimum wait times for drivers
Streamline processes to ensure timely dispatching of loads with a sense of urgency
Ensure all elements of fleet operation are met efficiently with maximum optimisation of vehicles, drivers and equipment
Continuous commitment to process improvement in liaison with key stakeholders
Manage, lead and support our drivers to carry out their role with safety, efficiency and ensure compliance to all statutory requirements including fatigue management.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to change quickly
Ability to cross train into other roles
Demonstrated experienced in a similar role within the transport industry
Capacity to make accurate decisions in a high pressure and fast paced environment
Enthusiastic attitude with the ability to develop a positive culture and motivate peers
Proven experience in consistently delivering results and beating service and budget targets
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proven planning and problem solving skills
