About the role:
As an experienced Project Manager, you will be required to deliver medium-sized new and restoration road projects for Local and State Government un-sealed road networks in Far West NSW, Central NSW and South West QLD.
These projects are primarily in remote areas and staying in onsite provided accommodation will be required for periods of 21 days on, 9 days off.
Use your previous knowledge of civil road construction to deliver projects on behalf of the company.
Interpreting and complying with the provided road construction standards.
Daily communication back to Senior Management on the progress and status of the project.
Make sure that all the aims of the project are met and coordinate the small team of plant operators.
Regular meetings with client representatives and maintain the existing relationship to increase future works.
Deliver the project within budgeted allowances and forward plan to allow for unexpected delays and costs in remote working areas.
Coordinate scheduled plant maintenance and problem solve break downs using your intermediate to high level of mechanical diagnostics to organise onsite repairs without delay to the project.
Follow and implement pre-prepared WHS, Quality and Environmental Management Plans with the assistance of the administration department to complete compulsory onsite documentation and photographic completion evidence for the client.
A minimum 5 years experience in Project Management in the same or similar industry.
Proven project delivery on un-sealed roadwork projects.
Excellent time-management, organisational skills, and budget control.
Strong attention to detail and contractual obligations.
Mechanical and parts interpretation skills.
Ability to multitask against competing priorities, flag risks and issues and escalations and forward think to combat issues in remote areas.
Capable in building strong and positive relationships across teams and with stakeholders at all levels; and a strong influencer who drives action.
Previous management of personnel in the heavy vehicle/plant industry.
Intermediate computer and IT skills and the usage of Microsoft Office programs.
White card construction card.
Minimum of C class license with advanced un-sealed road driving experience.
Successful in passing of drug and alcohol screening and pre-employment medical (if requested).
Experience in delivering QRA flood damage projects and documenting via Asset Edge programs.
History of civil roadworks for local and state government.
Traffic management certification in QLD and NSW.
Heavy vehicle licensed in HR, HC, or MC.
You will be given a company car, mobileand paid a generous higher than industry award pay rate that reflects your work history and experience.
