Company accountant

Our client is a group of companies who are looking for an experienced company account with 10 years plus experience to keep the company financial responsibilities up to date, accurate and compliant always.

Employment Status:  Full time


  • Streamlining the various finance functions and documenting processes as required
  • Performing monthly General Ledger reconciliations
  • Preparing and presenting monthly management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet) to the management team
  • Reporting to the management team on all finance and operational aspects of the company
  • Reporting on all ATO responsibilities - BAS /  PAYG reporting
  • Preparing and lodging quarter BAS 
  • Preparing EOFY Tax Returns 
  • Preparation of company budget forecasts, and reporting on actual variances to budget
  • Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders - management, staff, customers, contractors and other organisations
  • Ongoing cost reduction analysis across all suppliers
  • Overseeing, and assisting where required, all finance functions performed by the Finance & Admin Team (accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash management)

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years experience in a company finance role
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Very strong english speaking and comprehension 
  • Excellent computer skills - experience with MYOB and excel
  • A pro-active & ambitious approach to problem solving
  • Ability to consider strategic perspectives
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills - we value people who work collaboratively and contribute to team outcomes
  • Highly organised and efficient - a self-starter who can work autonomously and adhere to reporting deadlines

Salary  $100,000 + pa
