We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Payroll Administrator based in our Rockhampton Office to join our team to support the ongoing growth and expansion of business.
About the Role:
In this role you will be responsible for delivering and coordinating payroll and administrative tasks across our businesses in line with the JMS Group of Companies values.
Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in managing high volume, end to end payroll processes as well as possess sound knowledge and experience in accounts, high attention to detail and accuracy with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and strong time management and organisational skills.
Responding to all payroll enquiries and resolving payroll issues / discrepancies
Prepare and process payroll across JMS Group and associated entities
Maintain all wage and personnel records for all employees
Create new employee profiles in payroll
Process weekly employee and labour utilisation reports
Provide information and maintain records for WorkCover as required and completed reconciliations
Managing leave entitlements and payments
Filing and archiving of payroll information
Produce weekly personnel contact list reports and distribute as required
Preparation and lodgement of weekly Single Touch Payroll
Ensure payroll compliance across FBT and other statutory requirements
Maintain records and compliance with Long Service Leave including QLeave and Black Coal LSL and prepare and lodge levy advices
Prepare and lodge monthly Payroll Tax
Perform EOM audits on Superannuation lodgements including a comprehensive understanding of the Superannuation Act and Fair Work Act
Establishing and implementing policies and processes for payroll
Process claims for employee related incentives
Assist in reporting for applicable licences and governing bodies
Prepare calculations and provide advice in relation to obligation for termination and redundancy payments including superannuation, and taxation implications
Prepare inter-entity labour reports and sub-contractor invoicing and reconciliation
Managing preparation and reconciliation of annual payment summaries

Required Skills & Experience:
Current 'C' class Drivers Licence
Certificates IV in Payroll Administration (desirable)
Bachelor of Accounting (desirable)
Minimum two years in payroll accounting and reporting
Experience in award interpretation
Strong understanding of legislation, taxation and superannuation as they relate to payroll processing activities
Intermediate to advanced excel skills
Organised and able work within deadlines/time restraints
Proficient in verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build rapport & gain confidence of customers, suppliers and team
Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Work autonomously, including meeting deadlines
A calm, mature attitude with the ability to work with a range of personalities
High level of computer literacy using various software applications
